Need Chocolate? These brownie style biscuits are a great lower sugar treat and will leave you feeling satisfied due to the protein and fat content. They taste delicious and have an amazing texture.
Ingredients:
1 Cup crunchy peanut butter
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
1/3 Cup coconut sugar (or white sugar)
2 Tbsp maple syrup
1/4 Cup cocoa or cacao powder
1/8 tsp salt
1tsp baking soda
1 large egg
Method:
Preheat oven to 180 C
Combine all ingredients except for the egg in a large bowl:
ADD 1 large egg and mix until combined.
Form tablespoon sized cookie dough balls and flatten slightly with your hands.
Press a dark choc buttons into the top of each biscuit. (I made these at Easter so added a mini easter egg instead.)
Bake for 6- 8 minutes. Until they start to firm up around the edges. They will harden as they cool down.
